Why did you decide to join the Mens Leadership Project?
Kids their age [middle school] are much more energetic and genuine than most people I'm around all day, plus I love that I get to combine two of my passions: mentoring youth and community building.

What do you miss most about your hometown when you’re at U.Va.?
Being able to nap without feeling inherently guilty.

What movie or television character would you want to be your mentor?
I'd want Mr. Miyagi for general guidance with my life, but Daryl from The Walking Dead for the practicality I'll need when things start to go south.

What’s your favorite U.Va. Tradition?
Being able to shamelessly eat dumplings for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or all three.

What’s something you know you do differently than most people?
I like to sit down and meditate in the shower before I go to classes; regardless of how tired or cranky I am, it helps. Is that weird? :)
