Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at Student Health
Eating Disorders Group, Emily Lape, LCSW 234-5150
This is a therapy group that meets weekly for UVA students who’ve had some prior or concurrent treatment for bulimia, anorexia and binge eating. This group explores feelings, behaviors, life experiences and cultural pressures that underlie preoccupations with food, looks, perfectionism and control.

Mary D. Ainsworth Psychological Clinic.
Group Treatment for People Who Have Concerns About Their Eating and Body Image
Elise Clerkin and Jena Saporito, who are two graduate students in the clinical psychology program, will run the group. Prof. Llewellyn, a licensed clinical psychologist in the psychology department will supervise the group.

The purpose of the group is to give information and support to people who are struggling with body image issues and have concerns about their eating or exercise habits. Group members will have an opportunity to learn about healthy eating and exercise and to develop an understanding of how people can develop healthy relationships with their body and food. This group is designed for people who are not in treatment for body image or eating concerns, but, if you are currently in individual treatment, you can still join the group, if it is deemed appropriate by your individual therapist.

Contact Information: If you have questions regarding the group, please feel free to call 434-243-5555 or email emc2t@virginia.edu or jms4px@virginia.edu.
