Take Back the Night Vigil
This event is co-sponsored by the Sexual Violence Prevention Coalition, UVA Title IX Office, UVA Honor Committee, and the Maxine Platzer Lynn Women's Center
This year the Vigil will be held on April 4th from 8-10 PM in the Amphitheater. The candlelit Vigil is known around the country as one of the most common and recognizable events of Take Back the Night. It's an event about grieving, community, perseverance, and importantly, recovery. As a night to shine through the darkness, it serves as a reminder of light and hope during a week filled with emotions. It's a time hopefully, the entire community can come together for survivors, friends, and allies alike to share experiences and support each other. The night will be studded with a capella performances by fellow Hoos. featuring Academical Village People and Hoos In Treble!
This event is APPROVED AS AN OFFICIAL FOA.
