This internship works to build a university community free of violence and abuse. The GVSC intern team collaborates with students, faculty, administrators, staff, and organizations. We believe that it will take an entire community to foster non-violent, healthy relationships across Grounds. This internship highlights the importance of using intersectionality to address issues of gender and sexual violence. Because gender-based and sexual violence disproportionately impacts people of color, immigrants and LGBTQ+ individuals, we strongly encourage students from these communities to apply to this program so that your vitally important experiences are amplified through your work at the center. Interns will facilitate trainings such as Supporting a Friend, and Understanding Rape Culture as well as collaborating with campus partners on annual events during Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) and Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM).

Typical Activities for Interns on this team
