Iris Magazine is the Center's award-winning, nationally acclaimed magazine for thinking young women, at U.Va. and beyond. After spending her life trying on several looks—from photocopied newsletter for the U.Va. Women's Studies Program to national journal for women, Iris re-debuted September 1, 2007 as a magazine for and about thinking young women.

Reconceived after 27 years of publication, Iris seeks to celebrate and empower young women through provocative articles, essays, and fiction pieces that are uplifting, inclusive, and literate.

And for her 28th birthday, Iris got a website to match! Check out the brand-new site and get advice from experts, read The Fresh List ... and submit your articles, poetry and essays!

If you'd like to receive a free copy or otherwise need to reach us, please send email.

If you are interested in submitting to Iris, we are currently accepting submissions only for our online site - see details under Submissions on the new site.
