Attention all University of Virginia Filmmakers • Actors • Artists • Directors • Activists and Social Media Mavens!
Put your creativity to work to end gender violence!
NOTE: We have extended the deadline to February 21, 2014.
The University of Virginia Women’s Center Sexual & Domestic Violence Services teamed up with the Avon Foundation to give our students an exciting and unique opportunity: to create a video public service announcement and social media campaign that promotes Mr. Jefferson’s University as a proactive community when it comes to power-based gender violence prevention.
Your challenge is to develop a two-pronged campaign: a 30-second video public service announcement and a plan for a social media campaign.
Your video must address Gender Violence Prevention through bystander intervention. Ideal entries will effectively highlight how best to ensure college campus safety and an effective way to prevent violence among college students.
The winning team will receive $150 and the thrill of seeing their work in action. The video PSA and the social media campaign will be put into play as part of the our educational campaign to reduce gender violence on Grounds. The second place team will receive $100 & the third place team will receive $50.
