Our generous supporters help us ensure that the Center's vital work will continue to enrich and improve the lives of students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Since its founding in 1989, the University of Virginia Women’s Center has provided education, outreach, support, and research opportunities to help women shape their own lives and the world around them. Each year, more than 20,000 people make use of the Women's Center's programs, services, and special events. By supporting the Women's Center, you will ensure that the vital work carried out by the center continues to enrich and improve the lives of students, faculty, staff, and community members. You will also help women at Virginia reach their full potential as leaders in our society.
Sustaining the multifaceted work of the Women's Center depends year to year on funds from loyal benefactors. To salute those who have provided exceptionally generous and consistent support, the Women's Center has established Women 2020: Circle of Leaders. This new recognition society honors supporters who make annual gifts of $1,000 or more. We invite you to join this group of committed friends who share the center's aims to inspire and nurture women leaders of the future.
As a member of Women 2020: Circle of Leaders, you will be recognized in the Women's Center's Annual Report, and you will be invited as a special guest to a Women's Center event honoring its benefactors. You will also receive a subscription to Iris Magazine.
The Advisory Council and the National Council help direct the Center's mission and provide long-term planning an support.

The Parents Program was established in 1980 with the mission of enhancing the student experience at UVa through fundraising and involvement in the University community. The program is directed by a Parents Committee that comprises non-alumni parents from around the world. Each year, the Parents Committee allocates funds to academic and student life programs and to a variety of University and student organizations. The Committee also provides information resources to incoming parents and works to develop new initiatives and programs that enhance the student experience at the University.
The Women's Center is grateful for the continued support of the Parent's Program, which makes possible numerous Center initiatives.
