Danielle Heckert is a second-year Rodman Scholar in the E-school studying Biomedical Engineering. Alongside being a first-year Resident Advisor, Danielle is also an EMT with the Charlottesville Albemarle Rescue Squad. When asked about why she is passionate about this work, Danielle responded, "To say this job is hard would be an understatement, but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t so incredibly worth it. You get to be that person who’s there for people when they need you most, and honestly that’s what keeps me going every Friday night when I’m serving at the rescue squad. This opportunity to interact with the greater Charlottesville area on such an intimate level has been such an incredible experience that I’m so grateful for.” Thank you Danielle for all the incredible work you do in our community, and Happy International Women's Month!
