Please join us for this fireside chat with lunch from Roots featuring Lily Hakim (Comm ’08). Hakim will highlight the top moments of her career path, sharing the key lessons that have shaped her professional identity. The child of immigrants to the US who has lived with alopecia areata since childhood, Hakim will also reflect on some of the personal elements of her journey that have taught her to embrace difference.

Our 2022-23 Beverly Cobble Rodriguez Lecturer, Lily Hakim, is Director, Executive Operations, working within Pfizer’s Office of the CEO to support strategic decisions. Operating with the philosophy that finance should be a partner to the business, Hakim led the financial management of Pfizer’s landmark COVID-19 clinical trial among other vaccine research and development programs. Prior to joining Pfizer’s R&D Finance division, Hakim worked in the assurance practice of Ernst & Young and also held an advisory role to the CFO of a Fortune 100 defense contractor, where she led a team in a successful accounting claim against the U.S. Government. A licensed CPA, she graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in applied economics and management and earned her master’s degree in accountancy from the McIntire School of Commerce.

Thank you to the McIntire School of Commerce for co-sponsoring this event!
