1. What brought you to the Women's Center?

I joined YWLP because of my mom being the school counselor/YWLP liaison at Burley, so that’s how I got connected to the Women’s Center!

2. How has a mentor impacted you?

When I went to Burley, my mom had an intern who started a stress management club while she was there. I joined the club with a couple of my friends, and she was so helpful in teaching me how to deal with both academic and personal stress in a healthy way - we also learned a lot of mindfulness tactics, which is something that’s highlighted in YWLP! I got to know her better as well through my mom, and I felt like she really helped me learn important coping skills that I remember to this day. Thanks Taylor!

3. Who is a woman that inspires you?

I know it’s cliche, but my mom. She truly is so strong and has taught me how to be confident, unapologetic, and above all else kind. She is one of the greatest and most resilient people I know, not to mention she can always make me laugh and cheer me up if I’m in a bad mood. I want to be her when I grow up.

4. What is something you and your little have bonded over?

We have bonded over family, and more specifically sibling, relationships. She is very close with her family, and always loves to tell me stories about things her and her little sister do. I love to tell her stories about my brother and me, so it’s been really fun to share about the special bonds we have with people in our lives!

5. What is one thing you do after a stressful day?

I watch a comfort TV show (New Girl) and do a nice skincare routine!
