1. What brought you to the Women's Center?

The Women’s Center was one of the first organizations I became aware of when I got to grounds. I followed the Instagram and went to some of the events. It was always such a welcoming group and I knew that if I ever needed resources that I could go to them! I then had a friend suggest I apply to the internship program during my second year!

2. What is your favorite memory of UVA so far?

My first LOTL and just feeling so connected with everyone. There were students, professors, cville locals, and so many other people experiencing the same thing as me and it was a really cool moment- It made me appreciate the community we have here!

3. Who is a woman that inspires you?

My mom! She took time away from working to raise me and my brother but then went back to work and has continued to move up in her field of work! She inspires me to work hard and push through the tough times when I feel stuck or like I’m not doing enough. She is always my #1 supporter!

4. What is one thing you do after a stressful day?

Call my parents- it’s a small taste of home while also getting to talk to people who are always here for me and encouraging me to keep my head up.

5. How does your work at the Women's Center motivate you?

With being on the social media team, it really motivates me to find what voices need to be lifted. We have so many voices to be heard here at UVA and I want to be able to help students engage with groups they may not even know exist. It also has motivated me to get more involved with other internship groups and learn as much as I can about the types of resources available here.

6. What is a podcast/TV show/book, etc. that's grabbed your attention recently?

Everywhere, Everything by Noah Kahan! I saw him in concert in Cville this past summer and have been obsessed since!
