1. What brought you to the Women's Center?

My RA first year was a huge advocate of the Women's Center, so she made me very aware of the Women's Center and all that it does at UVA. Also, a classmate my first year told me about her experience in YWLP, and after that I decided that I wanted to do it too. I am so thankful that I had those influences my first year, because the Women's Center/YWLP has been such an important and beautiful part of my UVA experience.

2. How has a mentor impacted you?

My older sister, Ashton, has always been an informal mentor for me. She is an amazing person and I look up to her -- she has taught me a lot about the world, relationships, and myself.

3. Who is a woman that inspires you?

My twin sister, Leah, is a huge inspiration to me. She is one of the most thoughtful, loving, and reflective people I know. She is so capable and is always putting her best foot forward. She never fails to share her love and support with others, and she is a great friend. It is an honor to be her sister and her friend.

4. What is something you and your little have bonded over?

Although I am a Facilitator now, I was paired with a Little last year when I was a Big. Her and I immediately bonded over being twins and loving basketball. It felt like we understood each other quite a lot and pretty quickly, at least in regard to the things we shared. I am so thankful for her and our relationship, she is great :)

5. What is one thing you do after a stressful day?

I love cooking a yummy dinner and watching TV on the couch. It is very relaxing to do nothing after being busy all day! I try to make time to watch TV (or do nothing) every day, even if just for a little bit.
