1. What brought you to the Women's Center?

I loved the balance between social advocacy and creative writing that each issue of Iris brought. The Women's Center gives us this wonderful space to both push our abilities as writers and create content that makes our readers stop and think about how they interact with the world.

2. What is your favorite memory of UVA so far?

Getting to move in with my best friends this year, and all of the wonderful experiences living in a house instead of a dorm together has brought us.

3. Who is a woman that inspires you?

My internship coordinator, Mary, is the coolest. She is always encouraging us to step outside of our comfort zones as writers, offering great feedback, and always has our backs.

4. What is one thing you do after a stressful day?

Play the Sims.

5. How does your work at the Women's Center motivate you?

It motivates me to become a better communicator. There is such value in knowing when to stop and listen, and when to speak up, and I think the Women's Center has been huge in helping me learn that balance.

6. What is a podcast/TV show/book, etc. that's grabbed your attention recently?

Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin speaks to the human experience better than any book I've read in a long time.
