“How can we now move around the people who were systematically disempowered and those whom we used gender based violence against to keep them in that position?” Clark asked. “How do we now move them into a position that elevates them — that lets them get into the spaces and work the way that they deserve to work? We owe it to them. That’s where the movement needs to go next.”

Women on Grounds: Melissa Levy

Melissa Levy obtained her Ph.D. through the Curry School and became influential in creating the Youth and Social Innovation major, which she now teaches in. Levy also collaborates with the Women’s Center on the Young Women Leaders Program (YWLP).

Women on Grounds: Anda Webb

Anda Webb has been working for the University of Virginia since 1987. As vice provost for administration and chief of staff, she oversees an annual total of more than $400 million in budgets for the University’s schools and academic centers.
