Alum Spotlight: Kiana Williams

For the past two years Kiana has worked with the Virginia College Advising Corps, and this fall she begins a doctoral program in Cultural Anthropology, with a focus on “how neocolonialism influences Filipina identity, especially in context to popular culture, conceptions of beauty, and performativity.” We are so grateful to have worked with Kiana, and can’t wait to see her scholarly work evolve – and change the world for the better.

Alumna Spotlight: Michelle Cho

Michelle Cho (Batten, 2016) is flat-out amazing, and not just because she dazzled as a 2015 Women's Center intern for Iris magazine. Now a Strategy and Operations Consultant at Deloitte, Michelle is literally saving the world through her public policy work and general love of all things good, from Nutella to Harry Potter to Audre Lorde. Check out her Spotlight responses below.

Alumna Spotlight: Annie Forrest

It is fitting that we feature Annie Forrest as one of our October Spotlight profiles, since Annie's work for the One Love Foundation--a relationship violence programming provider, founded to honor UVA student Yeardley Love--aligns with the mission of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
