The Young Women Leaders Program
The Young Women Leaders Program pairs undergraduate women with middle school students from the Charlottesville community and is co-sponsored by the Women’s Center and the School of Education and Human Development. As an intern for YWLP, you will join the Women's Center team and work closely with the YWLP staff on the many communication, planning and logistics items that make the program so successful for the Bigs and Littles.
TYPICAL ACTIVITIES FOR INTERNS ON THIS TEAM:
Interns with this team work with YWLP staff on recruitment for incoming Bigs, assist with day-to-day logistics of the program, and assist in planning of annual YWLP events.
The Men's Leadership Project
Our Men’s Leadership Project pairs undergraduate men with middle school boys from the Charlottesville community. By interning with MLP, you will help the Women's Center staff keep the program running smoothly for the Big and Little Brothers.
TYPICAL ACTIVITIES FOR INTERNS ON THIS TEAM:
- Work with MLP staff on recruitment for incoming Bigs
- Assist MLP staff with day-to-day logistics of the program
- Plan annual service events for the Bigs and Littles
